Ivor
CentremanagerivorrichardsTM. Our second vocalist. Born in Krefeld 1962. Ivor Richtofen - as he was then known - spent his formative years forming things....mainly out of cheese, but sometimes out of marzipan. His 1975 collection, entitled, " Mir und andere Abweichungen " ( myself and other deviants ) was recently sold on ebay for an astonishing £5.26. In 1982 he discovered that his grandfather had been a Nazi youth leader. This spurred him on to anglicise his surname and start a career in youth and community services...his way, apparently, of making up for the crimes his grandfather had committed during the war.

Apart from a year spent sheep farming in Barnet he has spent the past 20 odd years working his way up from trainee youth worker to centre manager of the largest youth and community centre in Europe. The fact that he's shit at his job and has been investigated three times by the Fraud Squad is neither here nor there. Apparently. He joined the band in 1998, spent 2 years reading the lyrics and propping himself up on a music stand before leaving the band in 2000 to take up the post of president of BOTARS - the Battle of the Atlantic Re-enactment Society. These days he lives in a converted type VIIC u-boat in Henley-on-Thames. Although it is moored on the river bank for months at a time he takes it out to the depths of the North Atlantic twice a year where he expertly stalks unsuspecting oil tankers for days on end before returning to England in the knowledge that, had he had some real torpedoes, he would have " nailed the fucker, no problem. "
